For our Saturday night

Knitting Factory is a place I'll never forget. Dozens of memories there, but uh this Saturday it's on. Slick Rick? with a live band? More then decent for a Saturday night. Let's give it up for his Highness, and get high with him

The Glamorous Life

Damn Sheila E., she's got it going on. A very talented woman who has played with Prince, Marvin Gaye, Lionel Richie, and Diana Ross. So skilled with multiple instruments. It's that 80's classic that I dig. Ya dig?
Wikipedia Link, learn something

Beat Junkies Forever

Always with the right one, Babu has a listening party at REHAB. The Beat Tape is banging though, reminds me of some Dilla shit. Let's holla at this though

New podcast

You may or may have not gotten this already, but you should. Cause it's free, it's tight, and Madlib is everlasting.

Steady, steady, steady

I wanted to share something with everyone, and that's Strong Arm Stready. Rap group powerhouse. This is what I call gangster underground rap music. Check the Krondon's verse on the "Beware of Us" track. Just a taste of that raw lyrical bumping rap.
"I'm eatin chicken wings, mm, it's like chicken feed. Mm, I'm at the feedhouse smokin all this chicken's weed. Huh, you're hardly hard, this sucker's soft as volleyball. Cold Chillin' like my name was +Big Daddy+ +Marley Marl+You're not a star at all, no, you're just a sidekick, yeh. Runnin the outside lickin shit and ridin dicks. Real niggaz start cliques, start shit we spark clips. The mac'll make your door lift and leave me with a sore wrist. You should be impressed, yeh, it's like my first impression. I pull representer, exposition in a session. I'm in the Expedition, expose a dark dimension. Your girl used to suck dick du-ring detention. You got dumped, she came up by spittin out nuts of every homey comin home from prison. Yeah the fake chicks get dick the Ferragamo fake fits. I keep they drawers drenched, no drawers, fake tits" Krondon

John Humble & The Getty LA

Definitely worth the 405 trip, located at one of the highest hilltops of LA, The Getty Museum is a highly spoken of place. I myself love coming through. Went a couple Fridays ago, and saw these. Everyone loves cliche LA shots, but ones from the 70's and 80's are the real hitters. John Humble's exhibit takes place in mostly the urban landscape of the city and the Los Angeles River. Come see for yourself, ehem free admission, ehem freeeee.

Come on down

Sayonara Bob Barker. 50 years of being a television icon. No regrets and still living right. Who knew a TV Show host could make such a difference with the citizens of the lower and middle class, it's true. 85 Year old men can still wear a suit and smile, I'll remember that for sure.

Pixel this, pixel that

How can I explain this, boredom much? Even though I'm against the fact that there's no reason to be bored living where we live. Still, we put it in the air.

The question is..

Should I do this shit too? Rugged and wet, sounds like some fun there

Always on point

32 tracks of that raw Beat Junkie Sound. It's obvious that with years in music comes experience, and here's a perfect example of that. CA! ALL DAY! Always and forever son.
Just released earlier this week btw.

Worthy cause much?

I know streetwear collaborations are tight and all that, but here's to some sk8 hi's with meaning. On ebay, you can buy these Vans sk8 hi's that have been designed by different people like college students, skaters, even professors. It's for a man I never met or known til now, Jeremiah Brooks. 30 year old skater was hit by a moving vehicle, and now needs some help. You know you want shoes anyways, one of kind at that. Looks like there more then a dozen to choose from.

Though the accident was unintentional, his recovery is not. Local skateboard heads have mind-melded to organize This Is How We Roll, a silent-auction benefit for Brooks is taking part from 7 to 10 p.m. May 4th, at Installation Shoe Gallery, 1955 Broadway in Boulder. Sponsors of the event include Vans Shoes, MOB Grip, Rage Unlimited, Table 2 Press, and Satellite Boardshop. Look for the other shoes up for auction by this seller, featuring custom designs by skate legends and artists alike. Participants include Lance Mountain, Jeremy Fish, Todd Bratrud, Dennis McNett, Matt "Putrid" Carr, Chris "PeeWee" Levy, Louis Schmidt, Brian Ball, Hoshi Ludwig, Dave Soderberg, Alvin Gregorio, Shane Rymer, and Vincent Comparetto. All proceeds of the sale of this shoe goes directly to Jeremiah Brooks, to aid in the increasing amount of hospital bills and help provide a speedy recovery through physical therapy.

Here are some shots of a few of the shoes. There are more, search "Vans How We Roll" on EBAY.
Ebay link for these. Not wearable, but framed lighted Vans?
Looking pretty craze.

Ebay link. My favorite ones from the group

Beast much? Haha, Bid is up to $200 for these puppies Ebay Link. Sunrise & Boat. Reminds me of those Vans with birds on em. Lucille something?

It's a benefit for someone else, yet you benefit. Do iiit.

Child pornography, and still no trial

Another lucky celebrity. 5 years, 6 albums, and 3 tours since his charges, and he still hasn't had a trial. That's how R&B artists roll I guess. Boo oo tee, boo oo oo tee.

March this

Out of breath, and half dead, I ran this 5k fundraiser. March of Dimes, it was last Saturday. Had fun, didn't die, and did some charity work. Holla at that.
Poppin' off

Me and my moms Hell yeah I really ran3 hours of sleep and 3 miles to run, check the face
Yeah I took a nap Til' next event

It would have been a miracle

It's odd because we got the best player in the NBA, yet we had the worst team in the playoffs. That's my opinion at least. I give it up though, Suns are skilled. Swish, blam, blew, shot after shot. LA, we were with you.
Big ups to these two major players.
Ready for those trade rumors?
66+ assists in the series? All eyes on you Kobe, always

Baby, I know you're wondering

Lisa Lisa & Cult Jam. 80's popular club music, even in Europe. Went platinum and gold with their albums, and straight bangs in my car.

Downtown News

Protesting, rallying, haulted traffic, this is what's going on in Downtown LA. Expect traffic and people. Be advised. It's International Workers Day. I personally never heard of it, but I do know it's going to be hectic over here.

What a shame

O.J. Simpson had to go and ruin the Ford Bronco. Imagine driving this now? For sure, it smells like murder in there. Never can someone roll with this now.
